Welcome to the German Pavilion at the CIOE 2011, the 13th China International Optoelectronic Exposition here in Shenzhen!
The CIOE has developed into a leading trade fair in the region since its launch in 1999, with continuously increasing exhibitor numbers. For the second time, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) as well as the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) are organising a German Pavilion at the CIOE. SPECTARIS, the German industry association for the high-tech medium-sized business sector, one of the initiating associations, will accompany the German exhibitors and provide professional advice. At the German Pavilion, the ten participating companies are going to present their high quality products and to offer their renowned services to key players and decision makers from all over Asia and the world.
After a drastic slowdown in 2009, the German Photonics industry is experiencing a clear upward trend again. In 2010, the annual growth rate averaged to 19 % with a total turnover of around 22 billion Euros. In consequence of an export growth of 22 % compared to 2009 and an export quota of 69.3 % (export turnover: 15 billion Euros) the German external trade is a main pillar for the German Photonics industry. China's importance as a trade partner has increased rapidly during the last years: in 2010, around 10 % of the German Photonic exports were delivered to the People's Republic of China, which clearly illustrates that it is one of the most important trade partners for the Photonics industry.
On behalf of all exhibitors, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA), SPECTARIS and the supporting associations, we are looking forward to seeing you at the German Pavilion in hall 1, booth T109. We wish you a very successful trade fair, new ideas and valuable contacts!
